The staff were very friendly, flexible, and attentive! As a young adult and true lover of Cartoon Network, the atmosphere and ambience of the entire hotel all the way around was marvelous and exceeded my expectations. The Cartoon Network mascots were very open and friendly, willing to interact with guests and take pictures, and the staff were very willing to jump right in and assist with anything- as big as room changes and as small as taking photos. I would love to come here again, if it weren't closing here in a week. I really enjoyed my time with my loved ones here!!
I was pleasantly surprised by how kid-friendly this hotel was. We met up with family from different areas and used a promo that included Dutch Wonderland tickets. The rooms were exceptionally clean, with adorable décor and a layout perfect for the kids. The only downside was the long walk from the lobby to our room, though it would be fine in the summer. There also isn’t much adult seating in either the lobby or the rooms, but it wasn’t a major issue. The pool was great, and I really appreciated having a lifeguard on duty.
Front desk people were friendly and efficient. Room has enough space and is divided nicely between the queen bed and the bunk beds. There is a TV at the foot of each bunk. Water pressure is very good. There is a small refrigerator but no microwave. They have some entertainment in the lobby for the kids. Main drawback is that it is a motel so you enter all rooms from the outside meaning even though it was pouring when we went to the indoor pool, we had to go outside to get to the indoor pool. We were there in October when it was already getting cool so we did not use the outdoor water areas (which looked fun). It is more expensive than some other area hotels but you get three tickets to Dutch Wonderland with the room which makes it more reasonable. You can also park at the hotel and walk over (not too bad a walk unless you have difficulty) which saves the $22 parking fee at DW. You also get into Dutch Wonderland early so you're on some rides when almost no one else is there!! Our granddaughter loved that and even loved the cartoon characters on the wallpaper at the hotel.
We've been here twice in the "off season", during the fall. It was still a packed house. Even without the outdoor amenities open we still had a blast. The entire staff is wonderful. The rooms are adorable and clean enough. You can tell the rooms are well loved. The character breakfast is so much fun. The food isn't anything special but the kids loved the little details like chocolate swirl around the glass of their chocolate milk. We honestly can't wait to go back.
My experience here was absolutely amazing!! I have two autistic sons and it can be challenging to get them to understand rules in a new place. Especially a fun and fantastic place like this one. While we were there we had to leave the pool area for a brief time and my son's always like to ask why at least twice. The lifeguard on duty was very professional and empathetic to my son's while explaining to them that us leaving was only temporary. Did I mention that the rooms were very well kept and comfy as well! I highly recommend staying here!!
